You aren't a DD or cynical! You're a realist, and I would agree with you if Gen Z had a stable economic system that offered them the comforts and future of the previous generations.

The US government decided weapon profits are more valuable than Gen Z's life, and adults have done a terrible job of protecting their young. Gen X handed their latchkey and skepticism to their Gen Z kids, fostering a healthy dose of government scrutiny. The youth question traditional beliefs and narratives.

They are acutely aware of the capitalist, imperialist system that destroys lives globally because they are the globalization generation, connecting to anyone, anywhere, instantly. Gen Z is the most digitally savvy cohort, relying on various news sources instead of corporate news and communicating with people worldwide.

Globalization destroyed the environment and impoverished the world, and over twenty years of US wars aided the devastation. Gen Z experienced poverty while the US invested in the destruction of their future and humanity.

We believed in our country and the system, which sustained their survival, but Gen Z couldn't care less because they have no future vision.
