Yes, that was when we had a more balanced, mixed economy, and it worked. Sometimes, I think capitalism will always result in an imbalance of power, but I know we can maintain the regulations. We need to understand what's going on. I also wonder how tech and diminishing resources affect our ability to "make a living" today. When the money trickled down, we had plenty of resources and room to grow because the US was at an expansive phase. We can't grow forever as capitalism implies, but at least, we should be supported. I don't have all of the answers, but surely, we could do better than this.
