Yes, I've read all of this too, but Putin isn't a one man show. He represents oligarchs who care a lot about money, and do you think the last 5 to 6 years may have aggravated Russia? So many treaties were overturned, and doesn't it make sense to work with nations? It's not like Putin is Kim Jung.

Also, do you think the US has a rational fear of loosing power and money, and sways political and economic realities globally? I don't see how the US is more trustworthy. Historically, it has destroyed democratic nations for self-interests.
