Yes, Harold! Beautiful!
I am not a fan of the Democrats or Republicans, and their voter election reactions have been infuriating and depressing to experience.
They rub victories and losses in each other faces, treating the country's politics like a competitive sport. Liberals degrade and undermine Trump voters, calling them dumb, racist, and sexist, yet never consider the conditions that foster the volatility or stable solutions.
Trump voters appear less homogeneous than Liberals, but many are intent on revenge. Neoliberal policies outsourced jobs, defunded social services, alienated workers, and diminished a hopeful future, and a significant cohort scolded the working class for its bad choices and non-college education.
Where was the solidarity during the 1980-90s free-trade hollowing-out of the nation? Resentment and tension have intensified for decades, and livelihoods are worsening, yet we believe in our government instead of each other.
Now is the best time to turn off the TV, go outside, and talk to people from all income levels and backgrounds.
