I see the world through a capitalist/money lens, and there is no unseeing it. The Women's World Cup (soccer) is the only sports competition I watch, and the imperialist versus the exploited countries is glaring, but the dynamics are shifting.

The US has won or placed in every tournament but lost in a knock-out round in 2023. There were numerous reasons, but mostly, they were predictable and didn't play cohesively, and the world caught up.

No one stays at the top forever, but unlike the US government, the women's team know how to lose gracefully.

PS - American football is as entertaining but not as productive as Saturday School. The Super Bowl should be a food celebration or competition because that's the exciting activity, and it's immersive.
