What is life without an enthralling conversation and a fulfilling meal? We have lost touch with genuine gratification, replacing it with instant, short-term pseudo-pleasure.

Almost every business closes for Spain's daily siestas. Spaniards enjoy a two-hour mid-day rest and lunch with family and friends, which blows our minds because we're obsessed with deadlines and profits.

We sell our time to do meaningless work that denies us the time and energy to engage with ourselves, loved ones, and food. It's the saddest existence we could have created.
