What gets me is that we can lessen the incoming doom, yet we do nothing because money wins Survivor. Our governments abandoned their public duties, and we hopelessly watch the world burn, but we must transition our desperation into adaptation. I don't envision us overthrowing our governments until we run out of food, and the civil unrest will be violent.

Reducing consumption, growing urban gardens, and establishing a solid community are the battles we can win. We haven't confronted the power structures deciding our fate, but we are the majority, and the problem is global.

Also, I don't understand why people believe Trump created the mess we're in - he's a symptom of our disfunction. The plutocratic government defunded public goods, disinformed, and stagnated wages long before Trump appeared, and I'm nervous too. xo
