What does this look like, and is there any way to stop China's development? It achieved its targeted poverty reduction goals and continues to improve Chinese living standards without invading, intervening, blackmailing (as far as I know), or using military force.
China has domestic problems, but its foreign policies are nothing in comparison to the US. It doesn't violently enforce economic agendas, and it's not dumb. China benefits from global trade and consumption, and Iran, KSA, and the world aren't in anyone's pocket anymore. Multipolarity provides nations with options, and that's why the Global South demands it.
Is the reckless reference in regards to the US spy drone? Boy, that was stupid. It delivered US military tech to Russia's doorstep and demonstrated its attitude toward escalation.
China's assistance with Iran and Saudi's peace deal is symbolic even if the agreement doesn't last, and the US is not winning the world's hearts and minds by aiding the war. We need the Global South more than it needs us, but our government isn't concerned with the economy's import reliance and its effect on inflation.
Russia knew of US involvement long before the drone yet hasn't retaliated, and the US just showed its cards. F*ck knows what is on the table now, and the bank bailouts are a tremendous display of a crumbling empire.
We have numerous ignored problems because special interest wars and democracy abroad trump American lives, but that's our government. A pandemic destroyed everything, but it invests in foreign affairs and weapons instead of the public. It's crazy. Our government wouldn't fund healthcare during a health crisis, yet dips into its bottomless money pit to throw billions at US weapon companies.
It makes sense, and I feel safer now.
