What a disturbing mess, and did everyone forget the US war on terror created more terrorists? Wars can't defeat ideologies because they create them, and the onslaught of bombs and carnage will radicalize new generations (in Israel and globally).

Does the government care about the Israeli hostages? The victims' families must be horrified, and there will be consequences for the countless dead civilians, journalists, and UN humanitarian workers.

Israel will probably clear the West Bank and Gaza of Palestinians, but immigrants/settlers won't rush to the area, and domestic problems will hinder the country.

Biden killed his re-election by declaring unwavering support for what may be genocide, and 66% of Americans demand a ceasefire, yet none of our politicians are listening to the public. Our collective conscience is traumatized, and who knows how that'll unfold in an excessively violent population.
