We're on the same page, but our experiences differ. The political right reframes Wokeism to galvanize discontent, and liberal voters react by enforcing politically correct vocab, actions, and behavior within society through scolding, shaming, etc.

Perhaps you haven't noticed or encountered the white liberal public shaming I've witnessed, and my experiences aren't large enough to represent the movement, but Professor Catherine Liu's book captured it.

I realized my experiences weren't unique when I discovered Virtue Hoarders - the Case Against the Professional Managerial Class. Liu's peers imposed censorship on the university, the curriculum, and the staff, which was oppressive.

Liu isn't the only academic or person who publicly discusses the liberal enforced Wokeism ideology, but many remain silent. Countless teachers, office professionals, comedians, corporate employees, etc., self-censor and conform to avoid backlash.

White people telling white people they can't braid their hair or wear indigenous artwork because its cultural appropriation expropriates marginalized voices. Yet, there's no room to argue when you're deemed racist by a cohort who genuinely believes white privilege concerns everyone but them because they're morally superior.

We've co-opted Woke to relieve white guilt instead of listening and creating a platform that elevates the people we defend.
