We're getting close if we're not there already. Remember when our government said don't look to the government for assistance and big government is bad? Well, we listened, and our government is bigger than ever, but it's not working for us.

In a socialist democracy, we own public schools, roads, parks, national parks, public goods and services, and our government. Governments don't own anything. Capitalism enabled corruption via bribery and corporate power, and we allowed it to happen.

A dictator rules in North Korea, Oligarchs control Russia, the US empowered capitalist-friendly governments in the Islamic Kingdoms, and China uses state capitalism-socialism with strong government oversight. Do you know what a democratic socialist country looks like?
