Some people suffer from thyroid, diabetes, mental health, and other health reasons that impact weight, and then, there are people who overconsume. I associate overeating with drugs and alcohol because it stimulates us somewhat the same.

Covid, obesity, wealth, and geographic location strongly interconnect. If you look at spacial economics studies on Covid, you'll find some interesting reports. Sadly, where we live, matters.
