We had so many opportunities to make peace with Russia, but peace isn't profitable. So, we keep enemies in our back pockets, pulling them out when we're running low on conflicts, but Americans don't want to see Americans dying in capitalist wars. However, we can't help loving the heroism role, and for the full effect, there must be a fiery blaze of glory. More weapons, more wars, more deaths! Peace isn't as exciting.
