Venezuela is under US sanctions and economic manipulation. The country has gold and reserves but the World Bank won't let them access it.

The US uses components of MMT and calls it quantitative easing. Friedman, Bernanke, and Greenspan have told the public many times, "there's nothing stopping the US from creating as much money as it wants."
