US vs US
Everyone loses when we fight ourselves.
Nothing changes on New Year’s Day; nothing changes after election day. Americans are cheering on their team, hoping for a win on election day or whenever the votes are counted. Will it be the red team laughing at the snowflakes, cry-babies, and liberals, or will it be the blue team sighing with relief and mocking the racist, anti-science, alternative facts conservatives? Odds are against a Trump win, yet we know how reliable the polling is, but after the name calling and guaranteed election day violence, then what?
The self-inflicting wounds have nearly severed the US, and they won’t mend overnight. Instead of political parties representing the best interest of the people, they represent themselves. Essential economic government planning and strategies to facilitate American prosperity has been tossed aside, and the people who should be at the center of government initiatives have become the spectators. Politicians smashing bad policies over the heads of their opponents is like a performance in an entertainment wrestling event, but way more costly, and way less exciting. Hulk Hogan body slamming André the Giant is a show worth paying for and merchandise worth buying, but the petty slap-fights between the Republicans and the Democrats offers nothing of value.
