Unraveling and exposing the system is an incredible process. It's liberating, awakening, harrowing, lonely, and harsh, but it's oddly comforting to realize the system makes us sick, and it's not our fault. We're supposed to fail, but we aren't failures, and I'm surprised we're as sane as we are.

They tell us we have a chemical imbalance yet don't conduct tests to prove the diagnosis or determine which brain chemical is unbalanced. We're given an SSRI, of course, it makes us feel better. A dose of Serotonin makes everyone feel better.

Somehow, we overlook nurture, blaming nature/ourselves for the sadness everyone feels. It's our childhood trauma or something deep within our subconscious, but it is not the inescapable force surrounding and imprisoning us.

So, we don't bother evaluating capitalist culture's impact on our collective mental health, but I know it's there, breaking the world and us. The only reprieve is nature's beauty, daily delights, and fantasizing about another world where people matter.
