Um, ya. I know, but I'll clarify my point. Food, water, and energy are the only materials on earth that have real value. Everything else is worthless, and the only reason they have value is that we decided to give them value.

We've confused money with value, but money is the item we use to exchange for value. As long as there is "value" to purchase, we can provide the money to buy that value. On the other hand, if there is money and no value to buy, we have problems.

I don't have time to explain why our government misleads the public, but there's plenty of resources available if you decide to educate yourself about econ and monetary policies.
