Ugh. As a music appreciator, it makes me so angry. I feel for your son and the musicians who cap their creativity to feed the masses. It seems as though musicians must make music everyone likes or they won't get notoriety. It's all about album or just one-hit sales. You and your son would know more than I do, but I felt the crazy transition in the 90s.
