This is the most concise and accurate historical analysis on an extremely extensive subject. Thank you. Resources, profits, and hegemony motivate the US government because they undeniably work for the US oligarchs, yet Americans can't see it. I must say, the US perfected thought control, and living in the country is like living in the center of the storm.

Once a person sees the US capitalist playbook, they understand how the world works, and it's so apparent because the US uses the same formula time after time. As power declines, I fear the US will result to grasping at any straw to sustain its role. Dropping two atomic bombs after WWII was clearly won showed the globe how far the US would go to secure power. I fear what it will do to maintain power.

I've lived in the Global South and North, and it takes years to unlearn to relearn the truth. As history is rewritten, Westerners don't bother to think about the information fed to them, and it's not entirely their fault. A lifetime of brainwashing is difficult to overcome.

I've lost all hope in Americans. The Global South is more aware of international affairs than the North. South American anti-US imperialism protests exploded in 2019, and now, they're electing politicians who represent their nations. Mexico nationalized Lithium, and the US will retaliate, but I don't know how brutal it will be. Ugh.

The USSR and Russia took a beating from the US for almost a century (longer if counting the attempt to overthrow the Bolsheviks), and honestly, I don't know how they've shown so much restraint. China endures the same treatment and adopted an intelligent response, but the US is relentless.

Well, whatever's coming is coming, and then there's climate change. Maybe I should get stoned every day and pretend I live in a happy bubble. Thank you for articulating the events. xo
