There is no sanity in the US. The Democrats and Republicans are warmongers that represent their donors, and the politicized public remains loyal to their political party.

Funding to weaponize Ukraine is more than the federal government gives to 40 States annually, and US weapon manufacturers receive billions. Yet, Congress denied rail workers paid sick leave, and a judge ruled against student loan debt relief.

The Federal Reserve strangles the economy to slow inflation, blaming the labor market and wages, yet the supply chain and billions given to US companies aren't mentioned.

American support for the conflict persists despite countless domestic issues because the public hasn't figured out that the US doesn't care about American or foreign lives and that wars protect capital.

When/if the US decouples its economy from China, the US will pursue cheap labor elsewhere, and if manufacturing returns to the US, the price of goods will increase while American wages decrease or stagnate. The lower standard of living and struggle to survive should ignite mass civil unrest, but propaganda and nationalism may silence protests.

Most of the world has turned its back on the US, but Americans don't know anything about the world and won't blame the government for their problems. As US hegemony crumbles, it will continue to wage wars, and Americans will support them.

Unfortunately, I don't see peace anytime soon because the US won't go without a fight, and Americans will continue to believe they're fighting for democracy, but I hope I'm wrong.
