They believe they're invincible Gods who will escape nature's wrath, and their money may buy them time, but they'll endure the hell that's coming. Plus, they'll be bored without us (the peasants) and turn on each other, which seems to be occurring already. The oligarchs disagree on which war to wage first, Russia or China, and throw fuel on both prospects, disregarding the military's capability to engage with two giant nations.
