As I'm sure you know, the US initiated every coup in the region to overthrow leftist movements threatening US capital interests, and Colombia's neoliberal governments receive funding to host US operations.

Latin America's leftist shift and trade agreements with China must be making the US nervous, but the recent coups in Bolivia and Nicaragua failed. The people are aware of US tactics and erupted in anti-imperialism protests in 2019. Unfortunately, Colombians endure brutal, corrupt governments because right-wing politicians adhere to US demands. Ugh.
