The thing is the US is talking about upping the defense budget to a trillion annually, and the one thing the US can do right is war. Although arrogance may blind the decision makers, I don't think they'd ever get low on weapons. Look at our militarized police!

I think Russia is betting on the Global South breaking from the USD as the world's reserve currency. So far, the Global South condemns the war yet refuses to condemn Russia, and they make up well over the world's majority (China included). Who knows, but economics tends to be the reason for every war.
