The system is corrupt. Even if we elect the most wholesome person in the universe, they will fail in our system, and I'm not talking about AOC - she's irrelevant. Since 2010, corporations have had the same rights as individuals, and they finance whomever and whatever the amount they want. With their finance and power they influence our politicians.

FDR stated, "the old enemies of peace: business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering." He goes on to say, "they are unanimous in their hate for me — and I welcome their hatred." And Kennedy had the same tone in 1963.

We aren't going to have politicians who support us in a political structure that isn't for us. Sadly, we keep putting our eggs in some naïve person's basket - like Obama.
