The October 7th atrocities are horrific, and no humane person advocates for the killing of civilians, yet the mainstream (a loud minority now) disregards Palestinians, justifying war against families.
This cohort insists everyone must condemn Hamas and is anti-Semitic for considering Palestinian human rights. The Islamophobia and white supremacy are blatant, yet they're attempting to shift the racism/bigotry onto protesters who demand a ceasefire or understand the resistance movement.
Norman Finklestein compares the situation to a husband battering his wife for decades while everyone stood by because it wasn't their business to interfere, but the media and authorities condemned the wife when she stabbed her husband to death.
There were numerous opportunities to intervene and prevent the violence from escalating, which was inevitable because cornered people have limits. Yet, outsiders ask why the wife didn't leave instead of understanding the barriers that obstructed her or condemning the husband's beatings.
There is no justification for the relentless massacres. Perhaps Israel's retaliation could have been considered acceptable had the bombing raids stopped within a few days and Gaza had access to water, food, fuel, and humanitarian aid, but the continuous brutality is inexcusable.
The people dehumanizing people are broken beyond repair. They no longer share universal human traits, and their vacant, lifeless existence is pitiful and shameful. They are Zombies, and we're enduring humanity's apocalypse.
