Challenging trade with China while allowing US companies to manufacture in China caused more job losses and higher prices. However, Biden continues to follow the US initiative to punish China for using a capitalistic model to increase GDP.

This was the first time in decades the US government supported the people with financial assistance. Although aid benefitted the financial sector and corporations more than Americans, the public received more financial aid than any other president since FDR.
