I don't have a TV or rely on the media for information, but I agree with some of your advice. We're consumers whether or not we pay for a subscription. The media is a business and the goal is to profit.

Republicans and Democrats believe the US promotes democracy and freedom globally, and our institutions align with this belief. We support wars under a freedom-fighting guise, believing nations want US interventions.

Our government provides financial aid to nations yet exploits their resources and wealth. The US didn't become the world's super-power and wealthiest country by asking nicely. I would understand our support for US foreign policy if we benefitted, but our quality of life only worsens while GDP increases.

None of it makes sense, and we don't wonder why?
