Randy, that's not fair.

The pain was unbearable when my older sister died at 31, but her death made life real. The anguish showed me an ugly side of myself, but the process made me a better person. Eventually, I understood empathy, love, vulnerability, pain, time, permanence, and life's value.

The grief felt like I was flung into the clothes dryer, tumbling about, banging my body against the frame, and tossed back into the world bruised, shaken, but alive.

Thanks for sharing, Randy. xo
