Private ownership of fossil fuels, land, water, energy, and all finite resources assigns value to natural resources. It shouldn't have ever been allowed, but here we are dominating nature as if we control it, and it doesn't control us.

Traveling through Central and South America changes a person. I lived in Panama just after 2000 and watched foreign corporations invade the country. I visited the site the US bombed to oust Noriega and learned the reality of US intervention in the Americas. Natural resource ownership permits atrocities throughout the world, and the only solution is Eco-Marxism, but that won't stop countries from invasions as climate change descends upon the populace. Ugh.
