Our phones surveil us, too! They listen and (many) record conversations when we aren't using them. There is no privacy.

Smartphones track our every move, Google Maps updates our location every 15 seconds, and our government forced or bribed private telecommunication organizations to provide access to our data. And we talk about China's surveillance policies while our government spies on us. Hey! Look at the purple elephant over there because there's nothing to see here. Doh!
