Our governments repeatedly fail us, and we live in fear because there's always an enemy and a war to fight.

I can't stop thinking about Ukrainian civilians joining the frontlines, and you and I know low-income earners are drafted first. It makes me sick, and the BS belief that every Ukrainian supports the war, choosing to enlist is so goddamn ridiculous.

Ukrainians and Russians don't want to live in trenches dodging bullets and bombs. No one but psychopaths chooses war over peace, and Putin is the spokesperson for Russian interests. Yet, we believe if we win the war and get rid of Putin there will be peace. AS IF.

Russia has an objective, and proper negotiations and compromises would end the devastation, but the "we must win" and save-face Western frenzy pressures Ukraine to persist.

It's insane that we believe Putin is trying to take over the world, yet we don't mind that Ukrainians die doing the dirty work. Furthermore, the West wouldn't slowly dump weapons into the country if it wanted the war to end quickly, and it clearly isn't worried about escalation.

Now, we're hysterical about a Chinese balloon flying over the US, and soon, we'll shift from one war to another because that's what we do. The US/NATO pulled out of Afghanistan to pursue wars elsewhere, leaving the country in tatters to destroy another, and we support this.

Ugh.
