Oh, Michael. We are a nation that acts like a do-gooder, but we don't produce any good. The American philosophy of pretending bombs, sanctions, and interventions liberate the world is the pinnacle of our bullshit.

My sister joined the military because she made terrible decisions (no sense of consequences) and didn't fit into society. She was diagnosed with grade 4 brain cancer (there were numerous others, too) while stationed in Korea and working with chemicals.

The US military discharged her from service when doctors declared the cancer terminal to avoid paying the death gratuity, but they let her keep her health insurance, which is nice. Our government and military do not give a shit about Americans or anyone who isn't a billionaire.

They fake ethics and morals to maintain power and wealth, and Larry (I prefer the diminutive) is the vacant, soulless, vapid offspring. Unfortunately, Lousy Larry is everywhere.

I lived in Panama, and the rainforest is lush, but the area near the Canal looks like a mini-USA (tacky). The US controlled and profited from the Panama Canal until Carter agreed to hand it over to Panama in 1999. The US still receives a percentage of earnings and influences operations.

Hopefully, Panamanians will maintain the resistance and protect the beautiful environment.
