Oh, I haven't rafted down rapids in ages! How ironic, I used to go to the Russian River! Haha

John, we really don't have that much power, and I haven't met one person who thinks Putin is a good person. The anti-war movement doesn't have an impact, and there are fewer Putin bootlickers than activists. They aren't a threat.

The US involves itself in every affair, yet ignores the issues at home. We disagree on US foreign policy, but it doesn't matter. Our government will do whatever it wants.

Your generation tried to stop Vietnam, and most Americans didn't support the war, but we don't get a say. However, I think our government still cares about public perception because it does a hell of a job portraying itself as a perfect angel. Still, it would take millions of Americans and incessant protests to get their attention, and that's not happening.

A few years ago (OMG, a decade ago), I met young Russians in Thailand. It seems to be a hotspot for Russian tourists. Anyway, Russians are the toughest people I've met. Seriously. Although I'm in my 40s, I'm still sporty, but Russian women are significantly stronger than me. They're also uniquely pretty, but that's off-topic.

What I'm saying is they don't need our help, and definitely don't want it. Would you want Russia, China, Mexico, or any nation taking sides and arming groups in the US?

Also, the US spent roughly $2 million to shoot a $12 hobbyist weather balloon out of the sky. We've lost the plot! Imagine what that money could have been used for. It'd be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous.
