Offices are adult daycares and we're supposed to be on our "best behavior". No matter what's going on in your life, you've got to act like everything is just fine as you open those horrible doors to the sterile, soulless cage.

I don't understand why businesses would pay rent or lease an office if staff could/want to work from home. The structure of work and offices are so uncomfortable. I just can't. It makes me feel sick just thinking about having to go into an office again.

Egos and power trips are acceptable, but all other emotions aren't. Offices seem to bring out the worst in people because we're forced to be something we're not. As the traffic picks up during peak hours, I can't help but think, why are people doing this?! Once we're sucked back in, we're never going to have this great of an opportunity to negotiate WFH.

It also seems like parents want to go back to the office more than non-parents. If they want to go in, great, but some of us are more productive, healthy, and happy at home. I don't want to spend most of my life with coworkers.
