Mark Fisher and his book Capitalist Realism are amazing. I'm actually not sure if Trap music was around or popular when he was alive. It'd be interesting to hear what he had to say.

I also covered capitalism and music after reading the book. It's amazing how well Fisher describes the occurrences in society we all see but don't really know how to explain.
