Just yesterday I was wondering if white Americans were still thinking about BLM. History from Black historians and the stories not told in school, continue to be discussed on the decent political/historical podcasts. MSM has become quieter, but the onus is on us (Whites) to maintain educating ourselves.

My small data pool indicates we are actively exposing ourselves to US history without the sugar coating BS stuffed down our throats because USA! USA! Ugh the chant is so gross, but I’ve noticed the conversations in my circle have shifted. Friends are discussing the US history they hadn’t ever thought to about pre-Floyd.

I don’t know the exact vibe in the US right now. I jumped ship to move to Australia ten years ago because the 2008 bailout demonstrated the US government gives less than zero shits about the people. I do know some of us are educating ourselves via listening to podcasts like Floodlines, learning the heroic stories of black militia groups rescuing people from slavery during the civil war, and aware we need to remove the White lens blinding us.

There’s so much turmoil and crazy in the news EVERY Day; it’s hard to process all this madness. I truly hope and somewhat believe (maybe I’m actually being optimistic here), a lot of Whites don’t want to make this about us. Hopefully, we’re making the time to unlearn to learn our complete history of the nation.

Where to next? I’d love nothing more than to kick these frauds out of government, demand equal representation of demographics as our leaders, and have people who actually know their job is working for all of us, in office, but my foot isn’t big enough to shovel that shit out of power.

Thanks for your insight. Xo
