This is a good article from 2014, but it seems as though people are choosing what they want to believe. Russia, the US, the EU, and Ukraine's governments are all at fault. Ukrainians and Russians are victims and the rest of the world are victims of propaganda.

Do you really think nationalism among Ukrainians is so strong that everyone is willing to die for the separatists in the East? Well, they don't have a choice. They have to fight because Zelenskyy and the US won't let Russia end the war through negotiations and Russia won't leave until its demands are settled.
