Jeezas. My sentiments exactly. I feel what you've written, and especially now. There are millions of homeless camps everywhere in LA and Seattle, and millions walking/driving past the world we created as if everything is dandy.

My high school has a brand new brick wall wrapped around the whole campus to keep mass shooters out or lock the students in, and my hometown has a "Beware! Coyote Activity in the Area" in every park. Life certaintly hasn't improved since I graduated in 1999. Wasn't free-market, globalized capitalism supposed to make everyone better off?
