It's wildly sad, and I can't help but think that if Americans were dying in the war, we'd vehemently demand an immediate resolution.

Maybe Putin is unreasonable, illogical, or whatever, but as the world's superpower, I wish the US would at least try to negotiate because right now, the theory that the US feels threatened by Russia's future capabilities doesn't seem too far-fetched.

There's nothing ethical about funding Ukraine's death, and we don't even know if Ukrainians want to continue fighting! Have wars become so normalized that we believe escalating them is the only way to end them?
