It's depressing and bewildering. I spend too much time wondering how people accept and ignore this abusive, meaningless, repressive system.

There's no way people are foolish enough to believe our government defends democracy and freedom abroad while banks throw American families out of their homes, private companies deny medical care, parents can't afford to feed their hungry kids, and businesses work people to death.

We're miserable and lie to ourselves because we're cowards who sold our ethics to buy an illusion, and stubborn arrogance won't let us admit we were tricked.

We get to experience life in this beautiful place yet enslave ourselves to an artificial construct that destroys our existence. I'll never understand.
