It's a lose-lose situation. Our governments knew about Coronaviruses and failed to protect us. The US government withdrew infectious disease funding to focus on the opioid crisis (they caused), and now, the countries who funded and relied on the US-health alliance suffer. Plus, Americans are still dying from opioid overdoses as well as Covid.
Are we going to get Covid every time we meet with our friends? Is this life now? I've avoided big gatherings for two years, and the first time I go to one, I get Covid. WTF.
Why aren't people screaming their heads off at our shitty governments who do nothing but support their donors? I feel crazy because everyone is acting so f*cking calm and they shouldn't be. Maybe I should accept the mass extinction coming our way, but ugh. It's painstakingly depressing.
I'm just fed-up, but at least, I'm starting to feel less Covid infected. Hopefully, I don't have long-Covid or brain damage or whatever other long-term effects there are. AGH.
