It is a diverse country, but our government isn’t. Women are the majority in the US, but less than 30% are in the federal gov and it’s lower for women of color. AOC is a congresswoman and votes on federal issues. Congress’ actions affect every American. I’m not sure the social problems in Bronx/Queens are radically different than other cities, but it’s clear Americans don’t see each other as people under one nation. It’s everyone against everyone.
