Interesting, I was reading about the shipping lanes in the South Pacific last night. I read that Asian nations, including Taiwan and China, established official agreements to keep the lanes open to all trade (including US weapon shipments to Taiwan).

Could US speculations be incorrect about China's intentions? The country pursues self-interests like every nation, and US trade is essential for economic growth. It hasn't banned countries or Chinese companies from trading with the US via sanctions, etc., and it's not logistically feasible.

The US has access to the global economy via the World Bank, IMF, international institutions, and numerous other means. China does not have this privilege, and even if it did, it prefers economic gains more than political interventions.

American companies fear profit-loss as they lose market share to Chinese companies, but competition is good for the consumers.

Do you believe the average American should worry about China? Do you know the Chinese opinion of Xi? He's presiding over billions of people - god help him if he wants to take on an unruly bunch of Americans. Haha. What a nightmare.
