I'm of Native American descent and my grandma was an African-Sicilian immigrant. She hated white people within Italy and the US but loved the US because she escaped fascism. She wouldn't have left Italy if she didn't fear for her life, but endured Jim Crow laws and discrimination in the US. My skin is white but I am impacted by my heritage. If the majority never speaks up and people from minority groups are the only people speaking out, we'll struggle as a society. Although I agree, too many white people have become social justice warriors for all the wrong reasons... Like correcting everyone's vocab and assigning everyone a pronoun. It's absurd.

No, we won't live in utopia, but society isn't healthy right now and we all suffer.

The US needs immigrants to keep the economy rolling, but most people don't want to leave their countries. They leave because they don't have a choice. Latin Americans endure centuries of US interventions. There's a reason why the US grants them asylum - it's responsible for their countries' demise.

Reservations aren't a fair exchange and the land they were made to live on is always contested. If a business finds a natural resource or decides it wants the land, the Supreme Court rarely rules in its favor. We've learned history through one lens, and if we're just waking up to our reality, is that bad?

We all want the same things and isn't impossible to achieve them.
