"I'm guilty of the nostalgia trap at points: I long for some social dynamics we no longer have. Scenes, bands, and clubs long gone, and whatnot. The 90s was still a decade of amazing innovation and hope, despite all the awful things."

You and I miss the exact same things. I recently wrote about the music and subcultures in the 90s. It took me forever to finish because I kept watching music videos and rediscovering songs. I watched Blackhole Sun from Soundgarden and it transported me to hanging with my older sister when we were teenagers.

I've posted my article, but mostly want to say, rewatching the music videos and listening to the songs you won't remember until you play them is kind of nice. Especially right now. If I can't travel, I might as well travel through music. xo
