I'm from California but I live in Australia right now, and during the 2019-2020 bushfires the average temp was 1.5C higher. At one point, nearly the whole country was on fire, and Australia is almost as large as the US. Every city was extremely smokey, and it seemed as though the fire would never end.

China and India will battle over water in the Himalayas, and little spats have already started. African nations struggle as we speak - a drought is causing a lot of upheaval and migration.

The US secured plenty of resources, but the government allowed private ownership of natural resources. If regulations aren't imposed, prices may decide who gets what. Yikes.

I was just saying how we'll never have a day without crisis again. Ha. Depressing.

Politicians don't seem to be doing anything for the public (both parties). The pro-profit, pro-corporate agenda is destroying us, and we keep blaming each other, but we should be pointing fingers at our government. We need change, but we need a massive economic restructure because our system is broken. We could elect a god of a politician, but they can't repair a destroyed framework. Hm.
