If only we could turn back time and keep our promises. NATO should have died in 91, Clinton shouldn't have expanded NATO and bombed Serbia, etc., and the US should have maintained agreements, but peace and democracy have never been the objectives.

If we put as much effort into real democracy as we do in securing wealth and power the world would be a much better place. I fear the day nations turn on the US, impose deadly sanctions, weaponize rebel groups, and punish Americans for the horrors throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, but we'll probably collapse from climate change before then.
