I would agree with the hyperbole thesis if voters still had a say and our standard of living was improving, but life has only worsened over the last 50 years. We've lost wealth and power, and we don't have a government representing us.

The housing crisis and bank bailouts blatantly stated voters don't matter but the 1% do, and there's nothing any of you can do about it. Our government and their donors decide our fate, and their ideologies and economic agendas aren't benefitting us. So, ya. What's next?
