I wish governments would have done more to stop the war from starting, but here we are. Imperialist nations like the US invade countries for economic gains, but historically, Russia invaded and installed puppet governments to stop NATO membership. The horrific actions in Ukraine seem to follow the same path, so maybe appeasement means saving lives. Ukraine is already destroyed and prolonging the conflict further traumatize the people.

States should seek a resolution to end the horrors - not aid the war and deaths. Ugh. It's just so f*cked up, and Ukrainians will suffer for generations.
