I was in high school playing soccer, listening to parents publicly complain Title IX limited their sons' opportunities. They perceived girls as less than boys and never realized how their sentiments impacted teenagers.

Boys belittled the girls, believing they were superior, and I wanted to rub it in their faces when I received my scholarship for working my ass off, but gratitude stopped me. Ha.

Hopefully, my sexist high school has evolved, and young girls are kicking ass.
